Problem analysis

Problem analysis

Based on the rough idea for a new game I was assigned to design a new mobile game app without specific requirements. So it was up to me not only to design the game, but also to do some of the conceptual work. Therefore I first thought through the game principles before staring the design process. It was supposed to differ from typical "never have I ever" games by estimating your fellow player's answers and collecting as many points as possible to win the game.

The goal was to create a easy-to-learn, user-friendly game that you can play with your friends. In order to customize the game experience, the players should be able to change the language, as well as the number of rounds they want to play and the topic of the questions they would like to answer.

Design

Design

To meet the user requirements, the design should be simple (but also kind of playful), consistent and of course user-centered in order to meet the needs, preferences and expectations of the defined target group. It should also be responsive so that it's accessible on any mobile device. To create an easy-to-use app, I designed a clear navigation, an intuitive user interface and conducted some usability tests to verify my assumptions.

I also created mockups for the respective app stores and graphics for social media advertising.
